Early Spring
12 - 13 May is the date for Test &Tune at Kjula Dragway, and spring is here, feels like a month earlier than last year. My racing friends doing more extensive changes are feeling stressed... I´m servicing the street bike and in my tiny shop it´s hard to find space. Just waiting for some piston blanks from Ross, but I can put the lower end back in, so I´ll probably do what I can this upcoming weekend. It´s getting a short springer, 21" fr.wheel, new handle bars texas style and maybee a sexier hand shifter, and that´s about it. The really good news is that I have signed with my first serious sponsor for the racing operation. B.N.Skorstensfolket are the ones making sure old chimneys are sealed up and leak free with a unique sealing method, I´m happy they volunteered to the good cause.

Looking for Air..
At the end of my Zone week, been busy doing stuff that requires some focus, hence long nights alone. It´s been a while since a was in the "zone". had a one day visit to CHP (Calas High Performance) basically replacing bushings and straighten rods for the street motor, but also to pick up inspiration. Servicing both the Street 96 " and "Mom". The Gearbox was ok, leakdown ok, finished a sketch drawing for new pistons to the street motor which I mailed of to Ross Racing Pistons. Last season last race I logged low AFR at high speed, so I need to figure that somehow, so being low budget and not able to afford dyno time this year I have to work with what´s on the shelf. The other thing is that Dynos´doesnt simulate speed condition very well... The change we made before the last runs was that we did not port out the exhaust valve seats and I came out with a 10.16 run, which is p.b. but with less top speed. So I had a pair of huge Velocity stacks laying around, and last night I milled out a raceworthy clamp. This is going to be interesting.
