Single Digit

We did it, finally a 9 second run.  13 August, 2016, Q3 in Pistonhead Open #4. Kjula Dragway
Q1 was 10.05,  and we figured that we had to add more fuel so we went from a 85 to 80 Main (Hilborn), and Q2 was 10.04.
Still very clean plugs so we put in the 75 pill. and Q3 was a 9.9428, with a 60 foot of 1,5002.
1/8 was 6,3011/175,70 kmh @a  1/4 speed of 213,21.(132mph)

I am Done, after 12 years, feel like the coyote finally getting the Roadrunner...........

I have many to thank, Carl Stejmar, (Calas High Peformance) provides craftsmanship, knowledge and inspiration, my "Crew Chief" or "Chef" Per Byren has helped out the last couple of years from the first 10.08 and this year Magnus Johansson has helped with anything from wrenching to "go getting" at very, very high speeds.
Fellow racers, organizers and component manufacturers FHP, S&S, Leineweber, Hilborn, Dynatec, Morris, Andrews. and again CHP.
I also proved that anything is possible, if you stick to it and want it enough.
What´s next?

Pistonhead Open #3

Thursday I was finalizing the new Tin Covers for the front head, that took me 7 hours and I was wasted. Friday I took of to Cala´s High Performance and pulled the head of, as it required some soldering of the evacuation tube on the exahust tin, and that took some time and effort as well, and I somewhat rushed the assembly, and made it thru the gates of Kjula Dragway before 23.00. and then wrenched to 2 o clock in the morning to get the head torqued and everything checked. Saturday morning warm up and I had major leak on the intake Tin base, so...first qualification round was a no go and the head removed again, new viton gasket installed and then everything sealed up and back again, and out for the 2nd round and made a 10, 30x, enough for third spot. And I did not improve except for top speed close to 214 km/h on a 10.40 run. Really poor 60 foot and the picture is proof, as I missed the call for line up and almost came directly from the pit area in to the water with pulse. No time for mind and clutch control. Anyway worked it on Sunday to Semi and lost to a impressive naturally aspirated V-rod running consistent 9,75, 9.80´s, we had great fun...and, no leaks, none.
