Facinating! How can you verify that all measures and angles are correct before you cut the real alu in the CNC machine???
It´s dictated by Valve size, lift @ valve,combustion chamber type (quench), valve geometry (angle) possible for the actual bore and piston ring land position & depth and then some consideration to shrouding and my prefferred position of the igniter plugs and then some.......
But if you mean how this is being veriied, I do spend considerable time on comparing the front and rear head and the machine shop who actually make the cuts validates the solids with specific programs and then it goes in to CAM and tool path simulations and what have you. The shop i have selected to do the actual machining are specialized in dies for the the automotive industry and they have 5 axis mills but also high speed EDM.
